Recalling the time during my On-Job-Training (OJT) at the Philippine Airlines (PAL) which located at Arnaldo Boulevard, Roxas City Branch. On that time I experience how hard and manage my self to be approachable. The emplooyee agents of PAL need to be approachable and patience, and most always smiling to thier customers, whether thier costumer or clients are poor or rich. Most of the employees there are kind, and they have share thier exprience for thier job. in terms of thier work, based on them a one agents is not easy they need to be kind to all of thier passenger. they, need to start and finish thier work in brief and correct way. Because the name of thier company depends on them to have more passengers. they told us also how hard when they arecomputer illiterate before they shift into a computerize proccess, without idea on how to use computers and they spend more time for that memorization of code for all transactions especially in the ticketing area.
Everyday a lot of people drop-in to thier office (Philippine Airlines) for different transaction like, inquiring of rates of the ticket, reserving flights, getting tickets, and for cargo transactions. Different faces and beh
avior that they need to manage. Serve tier customers in good and approachable manner.
I started April 14 to May 08,2008. in order to have a partial fullfillment of school curriculum for the requirement of my course as a COMPUTER SCIENCE student. I was assigned to the ticketing office there is an 4 agents and cashier there. I am sitting at the typwriter making a gargo transactions and helping the agents in printing of tickets. Sometimes I am also at the financial assistance making an total of thier reports and income. I am also answering phone calls an give information to the customers on the line, before going home we do the alignment of the reciept numbers. On the day of Saturday I drop in to the Airport at 4:30 a.m. I was assigned at the reservation and check in area. Helping the agents to get the wieght of the bagage and essue a reciept. I know how to get the excess of the bagage and how to put a bagage stickers.
I learn a lot of thigs there, the proccess of making tickets, kargo transactions, bagage process and most on how to be nice and friendly to proffesionals. Becuase I know someday they are also the one that serve as my mirror. I enjoy so much on my work, the moments, laughters when me and my co trainee ride on to Sir Bebot car, (BAO)!
