Everyday a lot of people drop-in to thier office (Philippine Airlines) for different transaction like, inquiring of rates of the ticket, reserving flights, getting tickets, and for cargo transactions. Different faces and behavior that they need to manage. Serve tier customers in good and approachable manner.

I started April 14 to May 08,2008. in order to have a partial fullfillment of school curriculum for the requirement of my course as a COMPUTER SCIENCE student. I was assigned to the ticketing office there is an 4 agents and cashier there. I am sitting at the typwriter making a gargo transactions and helping the agents in printing of tickets. Sometimes I am also at the financial assistance making an total of thier reports and income. I am also answering phone calls an give information to the customers on the line, before going home we do the alignment of the reciept numbers. On the day of Saturday I drop in to the Airport at 4:30 a.m. I was assigned at the reservation and check in area. Helping the agents to get the wieght of the bagage and essue a reciept. I know how to get the excess of the bagage and how to put a bagage stickers.

I learn a lot of thigs there, the proccess of making tickets, kargo transactions, bagage process and most on how to be nice and friendly to proffesionals. Becuase I know someday they are also the one that serve as my mirror. I enjoy so much on my work, the moments, laughters when me and my co trainee ride on to Sir Bebot car, (BAO)!

             In 1853, the town Pontevedra was established at the present site of Barangay Sublangon. Formerly this town was a part of Panay, being the first settlement in the province of Capiz. Only in the year 1853 when General Crespo passed a decree making it independent town from Panay. Three years after, the town leaders decided to transfer the Poblacion to its present site because of the accessibility to the mouth of the big and navigable Agbalo river. The natives of the town call the place “Caguyuman”, a term descriptive of the place of ants or “ant hill”. This has been so because during that time the market days of the town attracted very large number of people from neighboring town and far away places. These people came to town like swarm of ants, on foot, bullcarts in bancas and sailboats. Hence the name was “Caguyuman” The name was changed to Pontevedra when the town has its own independent parish. That was 24 years later, after the town was established through the request of General Mariones. The request was granted two years after and Father Gregorio Hermida was the first Spanish Friar to take charge of the town parish. This Spanish Friar found the stiking resenblance of the town with that of his hometown in Pontevedra, spain. Henceforth through his influences the town was named PONTEVEDRA.

           Captivating Capiz-PONTEVEDRA MUNICIPALITY In history as of this present time, according to the people there, Pontevedra before known  as“CAGUYUMAN” meaning a group of people. Because during the day of monday and friday time ago until now people from their defferent Barangays, are going to the market on that days. Bringing their products and exchanging for others products. Like, dried fish, fresh fish, shrimps, crabs, other sea shells and etc. The people who lived at the seas and pound’s “tubigan” exchange their products to the people who live in the farm “patag”. Like leafy vegetables, squash, beans, okra and other vegetables found in the farm here in Capiz and also different fruits like bananas, guava, jackfruit, papaya, melon and other seasonal fruits. The market will become crowded on that days, monday and friday.The municipality of Pontevedra is rich in land and agricultural resources; its relatively flat and hillylands is good for farm products from rice, sugarcane and corn. On the other hand, its coastal area produces majority of cultured-aqua products in the province. To date, Pontevedra is being identified as one of the District Agro-Industrial Centers (DAICs) in the Province of Capiz with confirmation of the Regional Development Council VI.

            According to the census they have a lot of people live at their 26 Barangays. Agbanog ,Agdalipe ,Ameligan ,Bailan ,Banate ,Bantigue ,Binuntucan ,Cabugao ,Gabuc (Caugiat)Guba ,Hipona ,Intungcan ,Jolongajog Lantangan, Linampongan ,Malag-it ,Manapao ,Ilawod (Pob.) ,Ilaya (Pob.) ,Rizal ,San Pedro ,Solo ,Sublangon ,Tabuc ,Tacas ,Yatinga.

            The Municipality of Pontevedra celebrates the “Guyumguyuman Festival during the month of May. There purpose is to promote and exhibit their defferent products and most the seafoods in their municipality.Capiz is said as a seafood capital of the Philippines and Municipality of Pontevedra is the part of it! Theres a lot of products from seas, all sea shells and big fresh fishes, crabs different kinds of shrimps octopus etc. They have also places that could attract for their visitors or tourist as well.They have many beautiful beaches that are located in defferent place in pontevedra. You ca enjoy watching the beauty of natural resources like trees, at the seas side and rivers. Pontevedra also have a beautiful and unique resort named “VILLA CONSORCIA” the located at the malag-it Pontevedra capiz.  

              From the main city of roxas you can travel  45 min. to pontevedra municipality. But before  you would pass at the Municipality of PAN-AY till  you can reach the place of (Pontevedra) for almost 25-30 min. only.  There are hearsay that at the back of the Santa Monica Parish Church at PANAY MUNICIPALITY there would be a place a lotted for statues, these statues are for expressing the Historical events that happened in the past. Hoping this hearsay will be implemented to attract more tourists respectively. But it depends at the capacity of the vehicle, you can ride in a motorcycle,tricycle,jeepney and car. While for the watery place of Pontevedra you can travel by a motorboat.

             They have 2 public secondary school and 2 private schools for their education and 1 public hospital. For their medication.

             we don’t know the next for tommorrow, and even for the next time of today… we don’t know the future that awaits for us..How our adventure will last to reach off our success! We are all Student… Striving to be more effective, and later will be lauded because we did our best for the sake of our future. College Life is a memorable moment, We meet new friends coming from other places having a crush, sharing ideas, sharing answers during exams shring foods or baon, College Life is very chelleging yet! Enjoyed despite of hardships we encountered in our life.

 College Life is A journey

           College Life is a very exciting  , exagerating feeling and chellenging as well that commonly felt by Students, College Life is very some what  we cannot totally express what really mean is we are  striving to study hard! striving to be a good student to acquire knowledge and to inject to ourselves. We are sacrificing to study even late at night we sleep, we doing our projects within the time alloted, we are motivated to do good and study hard because maybe we will rewarded by our parents despite all we’ve done in school.

           College life is a preparation also for the future in which we learn now  to become an independent person, we only depend in ourselves and we don’t need the guidance of our parents, College Life is a fruitful and exciting food of enjoyment and recreation, bonding with classmate, making child pranks, escape in the class just to go in Cinema to watch movie, playing counter stirke, gaming, going to in the internet and chatting, dating and soon. Then later on we realize that parents did best for us to be educate but we never give a value of what parents did for us in order to send us in school, we did not appreciate all the things they done for us!

A life of A One Filamerian

                  When  I enter to the portals Of my College Life At FILAMER CHRISTIAN COLLEGE “fcc” for short I asked my self what would the course that i take? And how do I finished this course? Perhaps I never attempt to think the trials and difficulties of being a college student. I am thinking only that I can finished my studies as soon as the time come.; called “Graduation” and thats my wrong expectations for being a college Student! Profession is must in college, building a knowledge and developing skills is the entire requirement for being professional…. and this is the meaning of college life for me! A life of a college Student here at FCC is not so easy it is so challenging a way to achieve my goals and bring me to excellence for my title. Some say that if you are a  filamerian’s student you are a kind of a social climber person.A social climber is someone who seeks social prominence by obsequious behavior. Some define it as a parvenu, one who has suddenly risen to a higher economic status but has not gained social acceptance of others in that class.I fell so mad for that false accusation it is not true and it it an insult for those students that are not making that kind of act.How funny that they think that, because for me a filamerian student is some one who are skillfull, talented, having a good attitude and most intellegent. As well as we are act as a christian.

               I am proud to be one of filamerian..Coz, I Know A one felamerian is not a weak person. It is a strong person that never surrender… Trying to do all of the best to improve their self and go on for what they are dreaming for their life! And filamer is a christian school. A school that giving me strength to overcome my weaknesses, to have faith in God… To live in a christian way.. FILAMER CHRISTIAN COLLEGE THE ONE AND ONLY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL IN CAPIZ..
